For thousands of children living in the slums of Bangladesh, however, education remains a daily struggle. Poverty often forces them to choose survival over learning, leaving many dreams unfinished before they even begin.

At Alingan Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future-regardless of their financial circumstances.

Many children in underserved communities face overwhelming challenges. Their families struggle to afford basic necessities, making school fees, books, uniforms, and learning materials an impossible burden. Without support, many bright young minds are forced to leave school despite their passion for education.

To help change this reality, Alingan Foundation provides free educational support and learning opportunities for children from underprivileged communities. Our mission is to create a safe and encouraging environment where every child can continue learning, develop valuable life skills, and dream of a brighter future.

In the heart of Dhaka, hidden behind the city’s rapid development and modern skyline, lies Korail—one of Bangladesh’s most recognized informal settlements. Home to thousands of people, Korail represents a reality that many outside these communities rarely witness.

For countless residents, life is a daily struggle shaped by uncertainty, limited resources, and the constant need to adapt. While many people imagine old age as a period of rest, comfort, and family support, the reality can be very different for those living in poverty.

A Life Defined by Daily Survival

Life in Korail slum reveals the challenges faced by individuals who have spent decades working hard but now find themselves growing older without financial security, stable housing, or reliable support systems.
