Lockdown Food Distribution Program, 2021

Activities, Events, Support Posted on Sun, July 04, 2021 18:44:14

Due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases, Bangladesh is currently in strict lockdown. Everything is closed except emergency services. The daily laborers are suffering greatly as a result of this lockdown. Many of the parents of our foundation’s children earn money on a regular basis. They are unable to earn a living and feed their families as a result of the lockdowns. Their family is wracked with troubles. So, we decided to provide them some basic foods like rice, daal, and potatoes to help them get through the lockdown. We gave these foods to 20 families of our foundation. They are overjoyed. They claimed that these foods would help them throughout the lockdown. They are grateful to all of the supporters as well as the Alingan Foundation.

Drawing Competition, 2021

Activities, Events, Support Posted on Wed, March 24, 2021 18:34:29

Alingan Foundation arranged a drawing competition for the first time ever on 5th March 2021. Our children have many talents like dancing, singing, acting and also drawing. Alingan Foundation arranged a drawing competition so that they could display their talent. We were amazed to see how beautifully they can draw!

We started our competition at 4 PM. We gave them one and a half hours for the competition and also provided them all the necessary things to use. They were all so excited that they came beautifully dressed. They were all in a festive mood. They started to draw as soon as the time started. They were all very focused on doing their best. They were drawing different kinds of things such as Shahid Minar (a national monument established to commemorate those killed during the Bengali language movement in 1952), the National Martyrs Memorial, Scenes of Bangladesh, war scenes, etc. All the drawings were beautiful. We didn’t know that they had this beautiful talent. When the time was over, we collected their drawings. At the end of the competition, we distributed some healthy snacks like apples, cakes, etc.

The children were really very happy with the day. They all said that they are very thankful to the Alingan Foundation for arranging this competition and they would like to attend such competitions in the future also. We are also very pleased to have make them happy.

School Stationaries Distribution Program, 2021

Activities, Events Posted on Mon, March 08, 2021 14:04:09

We are very happy to put some smiles on these beautiful children’s faces in this hard time we are going through by providing them some necessary school stationery like exercise books, boxes, pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners to start their new academic year. Covid-19 has put us all in trouble so them as well. As their families are affected financially badly so it was hard for them to buy school items. So, we are very glad to help them as much as we can. They are so much happy to get these school items. We are very much grateful to our supporters who made this possible. Lots of love from all the children and Alingan Foundation.

Our first garage sale to raise fund for the project was pretty optimistic!

Activities Posted on Fri, July 29, 2016 00:37:53

After publishing the message about collecting donated items to raise funds for the project, we soon received some donated items in Antwerp, Belgium. Armand Everaert, one of our project board members allowed us to make the garage sale in his big garage along the pretty busy public street. We had to do some hard work to make the garage and the items ready for the sale. That hard work was nothing when we noticed, people are enthusiastic to have a look of our arrangement and wanted to buy something to support the project. We didn’t have a very great collection of donated items but yet we collected some funds on that sale which will be great help to support the project. We have already received more responses from people around in Belgium to donate us their unwanted and unnecessary household items. We are ready to make another sale when we are able to collect some more donated items and are hoping to continue the sale regularly. We are ready to collect any kind of items which people are willing to donate.

An example of donated items:
– All type of clothes and shoes (both children’s and adult)
– School materials
– Books and Arts
– Kitchen utensils
– Electronic Equipment
– Toys
– Toiletries
– Bedroom items
– Dining items
– All types of glasses
– Show pieces
– And so on

Thanks to the kind people who provided us the donated items and who supported the sale through their volunteering work.
