Eid is a time of joy, celebration, and togetherness. This year, Alingan Foundation organized a special Eid Drawing Competition for children living in Korail slum, creating an opportunity for them to express their creativity, imagination, and dreams through art.

The event brought together enthusiastic young participants who filled their drawings with color, emotion, and personal stories. Each artwork reflected a unique perspective, allowing the children to share how they see the world around them.

Art Beyond Paper

The drawing competition was not just about creating beautiful pictures. It was an opportunity for children to express their thoughts, hopes, and cultural identity in a creative way.

Some children drew peaceful village scenes, reflecting memories or dreams of rural life. Others filled their pages with blue skies, colorful birds, green fields, and natural landscapes. Many created Eid Mubarak artwork to celebrate the spirit of Eid and the happiness that comes with the festival.

Several participants chose to draw things they love most, while others illustrated their dreams for the future. Through simple drawings and bright colors, the children shared stories that words alone could not fully express.

Celebrating Creativity and Imagination

Every child has a unique voice, and art can be one of the most powerful ways to express it. The competition encouraged children to think creatively, build confidence, and proudly share their ideas with others.

Their artwork showcased imagination, talent, and optimism. Despite the challenges many of them face in daily life, their drawings reflected hope, happiness, and the desire for a brighter future.

Preserving Culture Through Art

Many drawings also highlighted cultural traditions and Eid celebrations. From festive greetings to family gatherings and community life, the children captured moments that are important to them and their communities.

These artworks serve as reminders that creativity exists everywhere and that every child deserves opportunities to learn, create, and express themselves.

Why Activities Like This Matter

Creative activities play an important role in children’s development. They encourage self-expression, improve confidence, and provide a positive environment where children can explore their talents.

For many children in underserved communities, events like this offer valuable opportunities to participate, learn new skills, and experience the joy of being recognized for their efforts.

At Alingan Foundation, we believe every child deserves the chance to dream, create, and be heard.

A Day Filled with Smiles

The Eid Drawing Competition was more than just an event. It was a celebration of creativity, culture, and childhood. The smiles on the children’s faces and the stories behind their drawings made the day truly memorable.

We are grateful to everyone who supports our efforts to create meaningful experiences for children and help them discover their potential.
